The award, given each month by the Germantown Education Commission, recognizes a senior living in Germantown for their accomplishments inside and outside the classroom. A high-achieving student, Anna Catherine is an
AP Scholar and a
member of the 30+ Club. She is a member of Hutchison’s Cum Laude Society, Science National Honor Society, Sara Frey History Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, and National Honor Society.
Anna Catherine has established herself as a leader at Hutchison, serving as a class officer for three years and Chapel Council vice president during her senior year. She is a captain of the varsity volleyball team and a member of the myExperience program’s art and design cohort.
She also has taken the time to serve the Memphis community and explore her career interests. Anna Catherine is actively involved in Le Bonheur Club Teens, which helps high school students learn about philanthropy. She serves as a volunteer liaison and was previously a school liaison. She is interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, and over the summer, she shadowed at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, visiting patient care areas and observing interactions between medical personnel and patients. Through the Institute for Responsible Citizenship, she spent part of her summer working with alumna Mary Crockett ’10 at Lindley Martens Design, an interior design firm.
