A Tradition of Creative Expression (With a Few Changes)

At Hutchison, a girl can explore her unique place in the world through the wonder of art. We're making sure that tradition continues, even in a pandemic.
Hutchison’s amazing artist educators have not missed a beat, a brush stroke, or a dance step this fall!
Despite the safety precautions we are taking for COVID-19, our girls are still able to act, dance, sing, and create amazing art. Movement and music for early childhood is being taught outside by Ms. Crowley, and in upper school Ms. Collins conducts Vocal Point under a canopy of trees, playing a piano rigged on a cart while girls wear their own headset microphones. Dance is taught on our theatre stage to give girls more space to move, and theatre class is taught in our dance studio. Our visual arts teachers have created individual art kits to avoid sharing.
