Assistant Head of School Receives TSSAA Administrator of the Year Award
Catherine Chubb earned the TSSAA School System Administrator of the Year award for District 9.
Congratulations to our assistant head of school Catherine Chubb on her well-deserved recognition! Mrs. Chubb is an extraordinary leader who uses her athletic instincts to lead strategically, expertly guiding Hutchison to proactively think and plan both on the granular and macro level. Over the summer, she directed the installation of a new turf field and countless other campus enhancements. She is a true team player, dedicated to ensuring Hutchison is the best it can be.
Mrs. Chubb is always doing what’s right and demonstrating to student-athletes, coaches, and peers that a great leader can possess both competitive fire and impactful integrity. She has helped athletes and coaches maximize their potential with character, humility, and sportsmanship. She is a tireless champion of our students and has a brilliant ability to get our athletes and their parents to see that resilience and determination are often born in challenge. She has left an indelible mark on the lives of every individual fortunate enough to call her a mentor and a coach.
Prior to her role as assistant head of school, Mrs. Chubb served as athletics director for over 20 years. Hutchison’s athletic program was awarded the A.F. Bridges Divisional award under her leadership. A former college athlete, she played soccer at The University of Memphis. She is a leader in athletics beyond Hutchison as the Division II West Tennessee representative on the TSSAA Legislative Council. She has also served on The University of Memphis M-Club Board of Directors since 1998 and as president for three terms.
Mrs. Chubb’s dedication to fostering a culture of excellence has made a lasting impact on our school community. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful for all that she brings to Hutchison every day.
